HI, I’M SIMONE NARDI.

About Me

In 2007 I graduated in Mathematics with honors from the University of Pisa. In 2017 I received a PhD in Applied Mathematics, collaborating with the "E.Piaggio" Research Center and the Department of Information Engineering of the same university. In IDS since 2008, I have extensive experience in developing CAD and GIS applications.

Since 2014 I designed distributed control algorithms for the management of swarm of heterogeneous autonomous vehicles. I worked on systems of automatic detection of anomalies through the use of Artificial Intelligence applied to optical cameras. I have managed research programs for the control of swarms of drones.

My current interests are mainly focused on robotics with the application of distributed control algorithms and coordination of drone swarms through game theory and deep learning techniques.

Long experience in writing technical proposals and bids for publicly financed projects, both national and European. I am the author and co-author of several scientific articles in international journals and conferences. I have been member of the NATO group NIAG SG205 - “Study on Sense and Avoid feasibility and certification for UAS flight in non-segregated airspaces”. In 2019 I became the COO of EikonTech srl, a startup working on Artificial Intelligence.

I staged over 20 shows, but with the birth of my two children, I had to choose ... sooner or later I will start again!

I play guitar since I was 14 years old. I started with private lessons.

I like to sing, but I've never made a group.

Over time I had abandoned this passion ... the children made me rediscover it!
